On a Roll
Our temporary roommate moved out and I am thankful for it! Not cos she was a bad roommate, but because we needed the space! I made a huge effort into making room for her and she was NEVER here. I felt like a fucking storage container for her entire wardrobe. So she moved out and we got the extra huge closet back and the bathroom linen cupboard all cleared out as well. Which makes me happy, cos I like things to be as organized as possible!
Finally situated the playroom/guest room, as Iliana REFUSES to sleep in her bed ESPECIALLY in her room! I finally decided to move her bed into our room, rearrange the furniture and I am going to establish a more strict bedtime routine, as some nights she goes to bed way too late. I’m to blame though, as I’ve been so busy with work. Its probably the only con to working from home, the balancing act between mother/wife/chef/housekeeper/real estate assistant/etc. That and the fact that I have to ignore my poor Junebug cos I have to be on the phone all day :( It’s like offering candy to a kid and then saying, NO!
Things are getting along rather nicely in 2012, no complaints thus far. Very tight on money these days, but who the hell isn’t? Things between the hubs and I have been pretty creative and blissful, we’re getting along great and we seem to be in sync now, after a few bumps last week. He’s been different, which is good, cos he needs to treat me like a queen cos I take care of it ALL! He’s finally doing the grocery shopping, helping with the line drying, sweeping the house and keeping Iliana entertained. He also said he got me a Valentine’s Day present! I was like WHAT, NO WAY! He’s not the gift type or really romantic at all (not way I’m with him) and never one to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’ve never done anything for it before. But a couple of days ago at breakfast he announced he had a gift for me. Whatever it is, I hope its good, unless its a yoga class, lol!
I have a monkey on my back right now so I better pay some attention to her. Hope January is treating the rest of Tumblr kindly :)
