Never the Bride
I hate looking on Facebook sometimes to see all my friends having these beautiful weddings and looking so happy. I’m happy for them, just bitter inside cos I wanna be a bride too :(
The hubs (we’re not legally married) is not a traditional kinda man and doesn’t feel he should have a big elaborate wedding to feed other people. I agree with him, but the little girl inside of me is screaming for flowers, table settings, cute decorations, THE DRESS, etc.
I told him this morning that it was depressing looking at all these wedding photos, and he just looked at me and said (in a mocking voice) “why, you wanna get married?” I of course told him that I would love to have a wedding, but that it wouldn’t be too him since he wasn’t into the whole planning a wedding thing :P We always said we would elope, but there’s just something magical about dreaming of the perfect wedding.
I envy all you girls who have had your “perfect day”, I just hope one day it will be mine. Maybe I’ll be with him for like 15 yrs and three kids later we will walk down the isle, lol! Iliana can be my maid of honor :)
