Lucky Gal
My boss is coming over in a little bit to come donate all of her niece’s toys to Iliana. My little monkey is getting a play kitchen I believe, is 2 too young for a play kitchen? I’m sure it will just be messy with all the “accessories” and such, but there is an opportunity to teach her cleaning skills, etc. She’s pretty good about throwing things in the garbage, but not too great about picking up after play time which is all day every day. But I suppose not too many 2 year olds are very cooperative with the tidying of the house, etc.
I am sure she is going to be over the moon once all the toys get here. She doesn’t have too many here at my moms, but I prefer it that way, as she loves to be outside in the garden! I rather her be out then cooped inside the house like she is with me back in Sarasota. We don’t have a fenced yard so it scares me when she is out playing. We live across the street from a big playground/park, and I am afraid one day she is going to get the crazy idea of just going to the park by herself.
She’s having a blast at grandmas house here in Miami. She’s been in the pool non stop! Been trying to keep her lathered in sun block and a bathing suit, but she insists on swimming naked. She pretty much hates clothes, which makes me sad cos she has so many cute outfits! I can’t keep a diaper, underwear, a shirt, nothing on ever. She puts clothes on only because she has to go out, if not she is running in the buff. She runs pretty warm like her dad so I guess in combination with the South Florida heat she can’t stand wearing clothing.
Iliana has also been really interested in the potty lately, but the adult potty; she wont sit on her training one. We have a toilet adapter piece and she seems to like that. I should have known that if she was anti sippy cups, being held, and using utensils early on that she wouldn’t want to use a baby potty. She hasn’t quite figured out how to pull her undies down all the way yet, but I am sure she will get it within time. We are weeks out from potty training at least with the pee, she has some shy issues about pooping in front of anyone, so that may be a bit of a challenge. Any advice from any moms out there?
Hope everyone else is having a great week with their lil ones!
