Needed an impromptu pool technician to go check on a pool on a property that a client of mine is buying. I decided to do the smart thing and call someone who was in the area. I found someone within half a mile, couldn’t have been any closer.

I start speaking to him and getting more info on how much it would cost for him to inspect a pool. He starts asking all sorts of questions about the pool and I’ve never seen it, so I put my boss on the line. They start talking and a fee was agreed upon, more talking about the pool, etc. etc. We where about to hang up and I was like, no, wait, since you live in the neighborhood just go there now, here is the address. He pauses for a second and asks me what the address was again. I repeated myself and he laughed for a good minute, and I was just thinking to myself WTF is going on.

Turns out he had been there today cleaning the pool! The owner of the home had called him to get it cleaned so the bank could approve the mortgage for my buyer so the closing can happen. How incredible that I end up calling the same pool person that the owner called. Well, I guess not that incredible cos all you have to do is Google “pool service” and the zip code and this dude’s company is the only one near the place. But still amazing story!
